Dr. Joseph Camarata
Dr. Joseph Camarata received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Nebraska and his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating from the programs with Distinction and Honors. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency program through the University of Texas Health Science Center and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency through the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Joseph Camarata held the position of Chief Resident in both programs. Dr. Joseph Camarata is dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care through honesty, kindness and personal respect. His integrity and commitment to his profession is why he is such a success. Dr. Joseph Camarata takes the time with each patient to discuss questions, concerns, goals and expectations. He treats every individual as a person of worth, dignity and value, as they work together to achieve their aesthetic goals.
Kathleen Koffman
Managing Partner, Mia Bella Donna Medspa, Practice Administrator JCC-KC,LLC
Kathleen came to Aesthetic Surgical Arts with an extensive background in business management. She has been with Dr. Camarata and the Practice since 2007. Together she and Dr. Camarata opened Mia Bella Donna Medspa, LLC in 2012.
Kathleen’s favorite things to do when she is not traveling back and forth from New Jersey, are taking motorcycle trips, cooking and spending time with her husband, Paul and Teddy, the dog!
Nikki Peace-Lindsey
Aesthetician and Laser Technician
Nikki! She has been a Licensed, practicing, Aesthetician / Laser Technician / Make-up Artist for 20+ Years! She has experience in just about every environment in this ever changing industry. From Resorts, Aveda institutes, Salon/Day Spas, to working alongside Plastic Surgeons and medical professionals. Her passion is being able to change people’s lives by improving how they feel about themselves.
She excels in having an honest, tangible, approach to treating any and all skin conditions. Nikki and Dr Camarata work together on providing the best possible outcome, in regards to post-surgical scarring and making sure that cosmetic surgeries are aligned with healthy, beautiful skin.
She doesn’t have a favorite treatment because they’re all wonderful and everyone deserves customized aesthetics! However, in her 20 years, the HydraFacial MD with dermaplaning is the most popular facial among her clients!
Nikki is over the moon about her little family of four, her husband, Jamaal, her daughter Layla Jade and their rescue dog Niko. They spend time with their families and friends every chance they get. They enjoy traveling and spending as much time outdoors as possible! Nikki has an extreme love for live music, yoga and laughter! She has been a part of Aesthetic Surgical Arts and Mia Bella Donna Medspa’s family for 7 years strong!
April Bray
Office Manager
April has worked with Dr. Camarata since 2004, initially starting as his Certified Surgical Technologist and First Assistant; she transitioned to his Business Office Manager in 2013. Her current responsibilities include managing insurance claims and questions, billing, estimates, and appointment scheduling, and she still finds time to assist Dr. Camarata in the operating room. She takes pride in helping our patients to achieve their aesthetic goals. April enjoys being outdoors and playing sand volleyball every week. In her free time, she also loves relaxing at the lake with her husband Chris and his family and spending time with her nephews and niece, family and friends.
Dawn Swartz
Med Spa Manager
Dawn joined our team with over 15 years of cosmetic and plastic surgery experience. She loves interacting with all the patients and as a licensed nurse she is dedicated to educating on procedures and services we provide. Dawn enjoys spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters at the pool, lake and every beach they can get to.
Kourtney Loomis
Surgical Assistant
Kourtney has been working with Dr. Camarata since 2020. She has been working in the dental field for 11 years. She is a surgical assistant in Plastics and Oral Maxillofacial surgery and is also certified in Cynosure SculpSure.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids. She has a passion for skincare, yoga, and houseplants.
Terra Cronk
Patient Care Coordinator
Terra has worked in the healthcare field for 20 years. She loves interacting with patients and making sure they have the best experience possible. In her spare time, Terra enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to concerts and cheering on the KC Chiefs.
Anna Mitchell
Surgical Assistant
Anna received her associates degree in Liberal Arts and Applied Science from Johnson County Community College. Anna has been in the dental industry for 7 years. She plans to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene at UMKC School of Dentistry. In her free time, Anna enjoys listening to records, yoga, Crossfit and running with her dog Moo.
Tas Watkins
Surgical Assistant
Taz is 28 years old and has been assisting for 6 years. In her free time she likes to DJ for events and parties. She likes to play guitar and spend time with her mother.
Vanessa Norris
Patient Care Coordinator
Vanessa has 2 years of experience in the medical field. She is dedicated to providing excellent care to patients. When she is not working, you can find her spending quality time with family and her two puppies, hitting the gym to stay active and modeling.
Areli Quinones
Surgical Assistant
Areli Quinones is a Surgical Assistant for Dr. Camarata. Her love for oral surgery came from watching her Dad practice oral surgery in Mexico while growing up. She lived in Texas most of her life where she practiced in the dental field as a registered dental assistant. She specialized in assisting for oral and maxillofacial surgery but also assisting in general dentistry, orthodontics and endodontists. Her husband’s job moved her to Kansas 3 years ago and she fell in love with it. She loves the outdoors, singing, reading and doing a good puzzle. Family is everything to Areli. Her husband and two daughters are a blessing to her life and she works hard to make life great for them.
